Ten grants awarded to students in 2020!

During the 2019-2020 school year, Krum ISD Education Foundation (KEF) awarded ten K-12 students student enrichment grants totaling just over $5000. The KEF student enrichment grant program provides funds to K-12 students or student groups for student enrichment learning opportunities and/or activities that complement the District’s core areas of learning: English Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Foreign Language & Arts (examples: Spanish, Art, Drama, Music), and Career & Technology (examples: Ag Science, Cosmetology, Mechanics, Welding).

These ten students proposed a wide range of activities: piano lessons, cooking lessons, flight school lessons, art education trip, and others. Students also used to program to assist in advanced coursework through the NCTC dual-credit program.

KEF awarded its first student enrichment grant in 2017. Since that time, the Foundation has awarded 25 KISD students for a total amount of nearly $16,000.
